Croc-Croc @ River Tarcoles

Have you ever seen crocodiles in their natural habitat? If not, what better place to see them in their element than River Tarcoles where folks from Discovery, Natural Geographic etc. come to capture them on camera.

River Tarcoles is just a 2 hour drive from Manuel Antonio heading towards San Jose. There are plenty of signs along the way that will guide you to the River Tarcoles Bridge where you can park your vehicle at one of the sodas and walk over to the bridge to catch a glimpse of these ginormous reptiles.

If you want to see these creatures move around and be wild, carry a long string along with some fish or meat, and hang it from the bridge and enjoy the show. Some of these crocodiles are 15-20 foot long and they hang around the bridge as they know they will get an easy meal from their spectators. The sodas next to the bridge offer great food, including the famous Costa Rican Typical meal. A must stop place on your trip in and out of Manuel Antonio.
