Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio

Looking to spend a good day at the beach along with some hiking and spotting the tropical wildlife? If so then Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio might be a perfect day trip for you.

There are several tours offered that will pick you up from where you are staying and take you to the park and provide a guided tour but let me tell you that there is a better option for 1/4 the money. Take a local taxi or the bus straight to the entrance of the park. You may want to head early as the park is only open till 3pm and not me that you cannot carry any food with you and only reusable water bottles. At the entrance you can buy the tickets that is roughly about $18 per person. Start with a short hike where you will spot Slots, Howler Monkeys, White Face Monkeys, Iguanas, Deer etc.

There is a small cafeteria in the center of the park for some light snacks and food. Once you are at the cafeteria you can choose between one of the three trails to make your way to the beach for a swim. All beaches have shower areas, restrooms and changing rooms. If you are a surfer you will surly enjoy the tide and catch some good waves.
